A press conference was held in Shariatpur to announce the National Vitamin "A" Plus campaign.
The conference took place on Thursday (13 March) at 11 AM at the Shariatpur Civil Surgeon’s meeting room, organized by the District Health Department in collaboration with the National Nutrition Services, Directorate General of Health Services, and Ministry of Family Welfare.
The press conference was chaired by Shariatpur's Civil Surgeon Dr. Rehan Uddin and conducted by District EPI Superintendent Mohammad Mojammel Hossain. Dr. Zahidul Islam, Medical Officer from the Civil Surgeon’s office, and Dr. Sabbir Rahman also spoke at the event. Journalists from various media outlets in Shariatpur were present at the conference.
It was announced that on 15 March, Vitamin "A" Plus capsules would be administered to a total of 170,854 children in Shariatpur, in line with the nationwide campaign.
